Adrian Golay
Seattle-area Cellist

I perform and teach cello in the Seattle area, where I grew up. Although trained in classical playing, I have a particular interest in contemporary music and multidisciplinary projects. I’ve performed and recorded numerous premieres, including works by Moira Smiley, Claude Baker, and Yie Eun Chun, many of these with the New Music Ensemble at the Jacobs School of Music. Currently, I participate in new collaborations such as the Faraz Ensemble as well as Seattle-area orchestras like Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra. I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, studying under Emilio Colón and completing schooling in Spring 2023.
Send me a message about anything! I’d love to collaborate on music projects, premiere a work, read chamber music – just email me at golay.adrian@gmail.com.

Accepting students of all ages and experience levels
I hope to help students of all ages find joy and explore their creativity through the study of cello. In weekly lessons, students will develop their instrumental technique, aural skills, and understanding of music theory and reading. Whether a student is just starting out or has been playing for years, I can help enrich their musical life.
